I just made the switch from mac to windows (haven't used windows since vista came out) so I may just be overlooking something very simple. After uninstalling (making sure i didn't keep the previous settings) and reinstalling, the files under "templates" had the inkscape Icon instead of the internet explorer icon. I read on another post someone had success by going to program files>inkscape>share>templates and right clicking and making the default program to open svgs as inkscape. svg's had the internet explorer icon and apparently were html files. I may or may not have changed a setting though? (when i uninstalled, i selected don't keep previous settings) i had a previous issue where all my attempts at saving. I've tried so many variants over the past couple hours, even uninstalling and reinstalling inkscape to no avail. The Fusion sketch will not include unsupported geometry." I get an error message saying "The selected SVG file contains no information or some unsupported information. The problem occurs opening it in fusion 360. I open inkscape, select "import", select the image, it pops up and save as a. If using Onshape, right-click on the sketch in your feature list and select 'Export as DXF/DWG.' If using Fusion 360, right click on the sketch in your feature tree and select 'Save as DXF' This method does not appear to be possible with Solidworks. The Shaper utilities converts the letters to small straight line segments (Path element and L command in the SVG files), so that’s also a reason for making big letters in Fusion and reduce the size in Slingshot to get nice letters, instead of doing the opposite.I'm trying to take an image and save it as. Method 1 Create your design as a single sketch. I had to make the drawing in Fusion 360 ten times bigger than it shoud be, because Shaper utilities uses cm in the svg while Slingshot understand it as mm. It is possible to convert quadratic bezier curves to cubic bezier curves, but an easier solution was to write the letters in Fusion 360 and then use the Shaper utilities add on to convert it to svg.

But when I draw bezier curves in Inkscape these were “C” type of Bezier curves (cubic curves) which Slingshot understand. I also tried to convert letter to path in Inkscape but it seems like Slingshot doesn’t understand the “Q” type of bezier curves ( quadratic curve) that Inkscape made. I don’t know if this is the only bug, but at least it worked for my files. When I removed or altered the first line coordinates Slingshot understood them as closed. I opened the svg file in a text editor and I saw that all the shapes that I had problems with started similar this: " As I wrote in my other post I found one reason for the closed path problem.
